Here comes the rain again...
After some really gorgeous weather for several days, it's gloomy and gray. But since we desperately need the rain, it's a good thing. We had several customers come in needing a few things to further their current projects "since it's going to be raining". Yes, bad weather is the perfect time to head to your sewing space - there's nothing else you should be doing!

The shop is readying for Fall. Rae has changed out the front window, hanging quilts with pretty Fall colors - Judy's giant Blooming 9-Patch is the main attraction. We've got lots of leaf prints in stock for making projects for your home - what could be easier than a set of napkins to make your table festive? In addition, more new fabrics are beginning to arrive from our manufacturers. Judy continues to meet with the fabric reps, ordering goodies to arrive over the next few months. We hope you see something here, or on Facebook or Instagram that sets off a creative spark. There's nothing quite like the excitement we feel when we're starting a new project. That's why we start so many of them!

If you are coming to see us:

*Masks are mandatory, for both customers and staff.
*Please sanitize and/or glove at the door when you come in.
(If you sanitize only, your hands must be completely dry before you touch any fabric)
*Store capacity is 4 customers at once.
*We will remain closed on Sundays until further notice.

We are still processing orders to ship, and Store Pickups, so feel free to shop online if you're not comfortable coming in. Cindy has put more than 1,900 bolts of our inventory on the website, and Marti has added thread and books. We're doing our very best to make your Yankee Pride experience a good one, whether you're walking among the bolts or shopping from your couch.

 New Block of the Month

We are starting another BOM soon, and it's perfect for those who like to make patriotic quilts and Quilts of Valor - it's "American Glory" from Wilmington Prints. This is an 8-month program, with some fabulous blocks, as you can see here. The finished quilt is 61" x 81" - great for a twin-sized bed.
*The cost will be $21.50/month.
*This BOM starts in November 2020.

If want to get in on the fun, please call the shop at 872-9300 or email us at [email protected].

We still have space if you want to sign up for "Nebula". It's a gorgeous quilt, and one where you can work on your piecing skills. Aren't those colors gorgeous? This BOM will run from January through October of 2021. Call the shop and sign up today!

Recent Fabric Arrivals

These are the highlights of recent arrivals. Click on the photo for a closeup, and click here if you're interested in purchasing any of these fabrics by the yard on our website:

Kona Solids Update:

We are currently out of Kona Black, and have fingers crossed that more will arrive next week. We are receiving the Kona solids Judy ordered in the last few months two or three at a time, so our inventory is slowly growing. For those waiting on Kona White, Kona Snow, and Kona PFD (Prepared for Dyeing), good news - those came in earlier this week! We got two bolts of each, so come and get it while it's here.

Redwork Gatherings

from Primitive Gatherings

by Moda

Such rich, gorgeous reds! And you don't need to be a Repro fan to use them, either. The simple, classic motifs mean they will work well in different kinds of quilts. What a gorgeous border for your newest redwork project!

Ski Town

by Clothworks

Skiing appears to be the trending sport this year, as far as quilt fabric goes. This is the third ski line that's arrived at the shop! This town is full of residents who spend all their time outdoors, by the look of the fabrics. People are walking their dogs, skiing, and snowboarding, from the mountains down to the streets. The panel would be great to border and quilt as a lap or throw quilt for the ski lover in your life!

Things That Go

from Katie Webb Design

by Clothworks

Something about primary colors makes us smile - how about you? All kinds of transportation is here, with coordinating stripes and dots. The best part? The road panel (photo below), which kids always love to play with, driving their toy cars and trucks all over town and back. The prints in this group make it easy to create a play quilt for your little ones!

Notions, News, and other Fun Stuff

Cindy's doing a dive into the batiks, and is beginning to make some YP original jelly rolls again. The first? Tequila Sunrise. Isn't it yummy? Make a jelly roll rug or a bag, and get lots of compliments. There are only four of these in stock, so don't miss out!

Special Moda Kits for Winter

Do you hate picking out fabric, worried that your project won't look right?  Are you looking for something beautiful (and maybe a little challenging) to make when the snow flies? We are now taking orders for these Moda kits. Click on the photo for more information about a specific kit, or to preorder. Don't wait - most of these need to be ordered by October 15!

Thank you, as always, for your business, and thank you for being our customer. We love that you still believe in shopping local!
