Are There Lots of Ways?
Katie Kinnison preaching

We name ourselves Christians, followers of Jesus the Christ. Our scriptures profess him to be the way, the truth and the life. What, then, is our relationship to people of other faiths? Do we love them even though they aren’t quite right, maybe even wrong? Do we tolerate having them around? Do we embrace them as fellow children of the Holy One?
Do we need to try to fix them?
Must we distance ourselves from their practices?
           I know. I love questions.
To begin exploring all these things, we will talk about what Paul had to say to the early church when some followers of Jesus wanted to know if it was okay to eat food that had been offered to the gods. This is only a starting place, of course. The real question is how do we walk the way of Love today – the way Jesu Jesus began to reveal to us two thousand years ago.
Join us for Gathering on Sunday, and we will revel in the questions and practice the loving.

Yours on the journey,
Katie

Pentecost Special Offering - Investing in Our Greatest Resource
You can help sustain important ministries and programs that are supported by the Pentecost Offering. Your gift helps the church encourage, develop, and support its young people, and address the needs of at-risk children. 40% of the Pentecost offering can be retained by individual congregations to make an impact in the lives of young people within their own community. 60% is used to support ministries of the Presbyterian Mission Agency. A brochure with details will be included in your Sunday bulletin. And you can give electronically by clicking here.
Together We Can!

Interested in Membership at Covenant?
We want becoming a member at Covenant to be easy. We want your membership to be fulfilling and important in your life. To get started or find out more, contact Rev. Katie Kinnison to set up a time to talk with her. The general process: on the first Sunday of the month, a few Elders (members of Session who make congregational decisions) meet with new members to get to know them a little bit and answer questions. On the second Sunday of the month, new members are officially received by the congregation.
Our Amazing Labyrinth!
Bob Tullett and friends have moved at an remarkable clip. As they finish the work of labyrinth building – and then the brick pathway to the labyrinth construction, which will also feature a concrete ramp to make this entrance of the church fully accessible – we are also designing the surrounding garden and landscape. Oh, this will be so beautiful, such a welcoming and holy and loving space. This will be a gift to ourselves and to this neighborhood we are called to be with in Love.

Thank you for the prayers and financial support and work you’ve done to bring this into reality. When we are finished enough (developing the surroundings will be an ongoing project), we will have a wonderful dedication ceremony and spiritual celebration. If you would like to help plan that, please see Katie Kinnison.
