Spotlight on Teen Girl Scouts!
Double the GOLD, Double the Impact!

Reaching for Gold is the ultimate goal for every young Girl Scout. However, achieving the Gold Award is much more difficult than one might expect. Gold Award Girl Scouts must take all they have learned from their time as a Girl Scout and develop a project that will create sustainable lasting change in their community. To earn a Gold Award, Girl Scouts epitomize what it means to be a G.I.R.L., by being a go-getter, an innovator, a risk-taker and a leader. These are the reasons the Gold Award is the most prestigious award for Girls in the world! Grace and Claire Genis are two Girl Scouts in the 2019 Gold Award class who have a special sisterhood beyond the Girl Scout community. They are twins! Read more of Grace and Claire's INSPIRING story on our blog!
Teen Leadership Circle

Extraordinary Leaders! Thanks to our 2018-2019 Teen Leadership Circle! These Girl Scouts are AMAZING and what awesome feedback they provided all year long. At their final meeting they got to talk with CEO Joy Wheeler, tried out some new outdoor adventures and got a sneak peek of the BRAND NEW Aquatics Center at Camp Prairie Schooner. It was a great day! We thank each and every one of these incredible leaders for lending their voice and advocacy to our council. Some of these Girl Scouts will return next year, some will graduate and we will be looking for new teen Girl Scouts to join TLC! Deadline to apply is June 15!
