Program Planning
May Program Planning

Strong Scouting units have a great annual program that is planned a year in advance and is shared with their families in the form of a calendar. This includes a funding plan with activities and events. By doing this your unit will attract more families and Scouts will stay involved longer.

Committee Chair's, please plan on attending the May Program Planning Kick-off and it is recommended that you bring your committee with you.

Youth Protection Training Updates

Youth Protection Logo

Providing a safe and secure environment for our youth members is the greatest priority of the Glacier's Edge Council. We work every day to protect our children through our mandatory Youth Protection policies and procedures.

To combat any instance of child abuse, the Boy Scouts of America has introduced the next generation of youth protection on March 1st 2018. It represents an evolution in our approach and is more than just a new training. For over two years, the Boy Scouts have worked with experts to develop new training's  and resources that will further strengthen our ability to protect youth.

This training covers several new policies and all registered members of the Boy Scouts will need to complete this new training by October 1, 2018. Those who have not taken this new training will show up in my.scouting as having an expired youth protection certificate on June 1st.
