Live Streaming the Ordination and Consecration of a Bishop May 18, beginning at 10:30 am in the sanctuary at Trinity Lutheran Church The 11th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado, the Rev. Kym Lucas, will be ordained and consecrated on Saturday, May 18 at St. John's Cathedral in Denver. The Presiding Bishop, Michael Curry, will officiate and preach. Habitat for Humanity: Meet Iman and her family Last week, we shared a link about Natasha and her daughter, one of the two families selected for this year's Habitat for Humanities Faith Build in Fort Collins. The second family is that of Iman, a Syrian immigrant who, with her two children, are building a future at the Harmony Cottages site at Harmony and Taft Hill. The photo shows them at the wall-raising onsite this February. To learn a little more about them, please click  here . St Paul's is partnering with Trinity, Mary of Magdala, and other faith communities in Fort Collins to build Habitat for Humanity homes for families in need of secure, affordable housing. Our next Build Dates are Saturday, May 18th and Saturday, June 15th. For more info, or to join our happy, growing group of volunteers (no experience is needed!), please email  Gray  or call him at (970) 962-4057. We hope you'll come join us "on the dirt"! Also, Habitat is considering international Build Trips next year and wants to gauge interest as to possible locations and times. Possibilities are: Malawi in June or July 2010, or Nepal in November 2020. If you have any interest at all (with absolutely no commitment!), please let  Gray  know. Again, this is just to gauge possible interest, neither trip is final.

John Kefalas, a Larimer County commissioner is speaking to the Trinity Adult forum on Sunday,May 5 at 9:30 am to 10:30 am . His focus will be on the SNAP program. He will be speaking on other issues as well and all are invited to come .

Braiding Sweetgrass Book Discussions Author, Robin Kimmerer uses sweetgrass as a metaphor to explain the origins of plant, animal and human on Mother Earth, their intertwined respectful and reciprocal relationships with each other, the loss of this reciprocity and the hope of ecological restoration to return the gifts of Mother Earth and the balance that once was. Kimmerer does this through weaving together three strands of “indigenous ways of knowing", scientific knowledge and her story of an Anishinabekwe scientist trying to bring them together.    Our discussions continue on May 8 and 15. We are hoping to have enough participants for both daytime and evening groups. Call St. Paul’s Office, 970-482-2668, to get involved. At our final meeting we will consider follow up activities as a result of our discussions of Braiding Sweetgrass. It should be an engaging and lively community gathering. Flowers for the Altar T o dedicate altar flowers in memory of a loved one, in celebration of a birthday or anniversary, or just to express gratitude to God, sign up on the list located on the red bulletin board where we used to gather for coffee. The money for these flowers comes from donations. We ask for a $25 donation, but any amount is acceptable. Write the check to St. Paul’s, put “Flowers” in the memo line, and put it in the offering plate. Thanks!
