First Concert/Movie Event is Scheduled for Friday, June 8
La Vista's first concert/movie event of the summer is scheduled for THIS Friday, June 8, at 7 p.m. at the La Vista Public Library (9110 Giles Rd.) on the north side of the building. 

The Slias Creek Band wil ltake the stage at 7 p.m. and play until approximately 9 p.m. an then we'll show "Wonder Woman"! Bring your own lawn chairs and food/drink!

The City of La Vista and City of Papillion have teamed up once again for the 9th Annual Urban Scramble Adventure Race, which will take place on  Saturday, August 4

The Urban Scramble is a unique combination of running, biking and navigating, offered to all racers no matter gender or ability. Grab a friend, family member or significant other and prepare for an exhilarating experience! 

Racers will compete together as a 2-person team running, biking and navigating their way through La Vista and Papillion while searching for checkpoints and completing challenges and mystery events!

Registration Now Open for the 3rd Annual Edge Body Pump & Run!
Edge Body Boot Camp and the City of La Vista have teamed up once again for the 3rd annual Edge Body Pump & Run and 5k. The Pump and Run is a unique combination of weight lifting and running, offered to all racers no matter gender or ability. Pump and Run participants will compete in a bench press competition as well as a 5k run.

Don't lift weights? Don't worry runners, we have you covered too! We will also be offering the 5k as a separate event to those who just want to run and not participate in the bench press competition.

When: Friday, October 5, 2018 (Pump Only) & Saturday, October 6, 2018 (Run and 5k)

Start time: Friday, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM

Where: Friday, Edge Body Boot Camp, 10926 Emiline St., La Vista
            Saturday, Infusion Brewing Company Tap Room, 6271 S. 118th St., Omaha

Fees: Register by September 7, $30; after September 7, $35

Registration Deadline: October 4 by Noon (if you register after October 1, you will not receive a t-shirt).

Racers will receive a custom designed dri-fit shirt, 1 free Infusion beer (for those 21 & over), pizza, soda & water, and a post-race party. 
Pool Passes Now on Sale; Swimming Lessons Registration is Open
It must be almost summer, because passes and memberships to the La Vista Municipal Pool are now for sale! 

Also, you can now register for swimming lessons! You can register on our website, or in-person at the Community Center, 8116 Park View Blvd.

Preschool Playtime at the Community Center
Did you know the La Vista Community Center hosts a preschool playtime twice a week?
 
Each Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon the Community Center gym is an open playground for those kiddos who are preschool age and younger.
 
Parents, grandparents or caregivers are welcome to join us for this indoor playtime. We recently expanded these hours as well!
