Thanks to everyone who came out to the Expo!
We had a great time last Saturday and want to thank everyone in the community who came out!
Our sponsors were fantastic as were our volunteers including Cheryl Webster, Rhonda Redden, Denise Solbach, Diana Phillips, Duane Sivik, Nancci and Joe Burgess and Richard Stone.
We introduced all sorts of kids to the concept of an old fashioned cake walk thanks to donations from Plowman's Kitchen and Simply Sweet. The treats from these two great businesses made for so much fun!
Our exhibitors were so much fun and we appreciate all of them including Ace Dental, Modern Woodsman, Ancira Salsa/Work Here, Boys and Girls Club, the Dwayne Ariola Campaign, Green Man Therapeutic Massage, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Moody Museum, Moose's Brake and Tune Up, Nichole Gray Lash Studio, St. Mary's Catholic School, St. Paul Lutheran Church and Child Development Center, Taylor Arts Board, Taylor Fire Department, Taylor Police Department, Texas Beer Company, Texas State Technical College, Taylor Education Enrichment Foundation, Vasayo and WellMed.
Finally, we want to thank our downtown business partners Hawt Spot Salon and Boutique and Friends of the Bride.

Please spare 2 minutes and answer our survey
Your Chamber Advocacy Committee is already getting ready for the 87th Texas Legislative Session that begins in January.

And we need to know what YOU, our local business owners and leaders, want and need us to push for and support.

To do that, we need you to take the 1 minute and 40 seconds (average time) to take our survey.

Don't be chicken!
This is YOUR year to do something healthy for you and your community.
Time is RUNNING out!

This year's Good Life (UN)Fair & 5K is virtual and all local and area runners are encouraged to participate.
The run is still raising money for a percussion park that will be set in Murphy Park. The group has a fun video that you can watch by clicking I WANT TO WATCH THE VIDEO.
You can sign up now (HERE) and run the 5K on your own time Oct. 10-31.
They are also looking for sponsorships and general donations to the project.
VOTE! Election info
I'll bet you already know that early voting has begun in the Nov. 3 races and that on the first day of early voting, more than 1000 people voted at Taylor City Hall.
We are lucky enough to have a fantastic elections department at the county and you can go here and find wait times, what's on your ballot, how to get a mail-in ballot, how many people voted each day, and a million other things. It is my new addiction!
What we couldn't find there is how to do drive-in voting so here's how that works. Drive to the polling location and look for the parking spots right in front that are marked for that purpose. Then get out your phone and just follow the instructions. They will bring a voting machine right to your car window!

Oh! And if you missed last Monday's candidate forum, you can watch it here.
Get ready for the new Texas Legislative session
Former chief of staff to the Texas Secretary of State and former Taylor Mayor Jesse Ancira will be our speaker at noon Monday, Nov. 16.
He is going to get us ready for the 87th Texas Legislative Session that begins in January.
Come ask the questions that YOU want the Chamber's Advocacy Committee to ask to those who represent us in Austin.
