LAST CHANCE TO HELP MAKE BACCALAUREATE A SUCCESS!!  The Baccalaureate ceremony honoring our seniors is this Friday, June 15th!  The PTSA Baccalaureate Committee is still looking for volunteers to help with set up and clean up as well as provide food for this wonderful event.  If you would like to help, please click here for food/beverage donations, or email [email protected] and specify any time you are available between 2:30 - 9:00.  Any hour you can spare is greatly appreciated! Thanks for supporting our seniors!

We will recognize and honor all of this year's award winners at the PTSA meeting on June 13.


ATTENTION PARENT VOLUNTEERS:  We are in need of many hands on deck for our end-of-the-year Laptop Roll-in! If you are able to give a couple of hours of time on one or multiple days, please consult the sign-up genius and sign-up HERE! If you do not have Destiny training, not to worry-we will train you, however, if you have, please indicate so. School News
LWSD TOWNHALL MEETING  Save the date! The community is invited to a Town Hall event with the final 2-3 Superintendent candidates on Thursday, June 28. The Town Hall is scheduled from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Lake Washington School District Resource Center (16250 NE 74th Street, Redmond, WA 98052). This event will also be broadcast live from the LWSD website. Community members will have an opportunity to submit feedback on the candidates that evening. More details will be shared soon.

RHS 2018-2019 SCHOOL DAY SCHEDULE.   LWSD has announced that school start and end times will be changing in the 2018-19 school year.   In the Fall at Redmond High School, a 7-period day will be implemented and the end-of-day will be extended by twenty minutes.  In order to ensure that families have ample time to plan, here is our RHS Bell Schedule for the 2018-2019 7-period school day. 

RHS IS NOW A LEVEL 2 GREEN SCHOOL!!  The RHS Green Team helped our school receive recognition from the King County Green Schools program for certifying our school as a Level 2 Green School. This was done by improving the recycling system in the school, advocating for paper usage reduction by the staff, and conserving energy. Thank you for your help in making our school more sustainable!

2018-19 PARKING PERMITS   Starting next week, parking permit applications for the 2018-19 school year will be available in the main office, online and in D-103. Students may purchase and pick up their permits beginning the last week of August. If you have questions please see Mr. Handschin in D-103.

DRAMA BOOSTERS.  SUPPORTING RHS THEATRE ARTS.
The 5th Avenue Awards will be held June 11th. Congrats to RHS on the nominations!

SUMMER LIL'S & JR DANCE CAMP  August 21 to 24 for those in grades 1st through 8th, hosted by the RHS Dance Team Booster Club. Check out the event flyer here.
Extracurricular Activities
JOIN REDMOND POLICE LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPLORING. Redmond High School students, in 9th grade - 12th grade, are invited to join Redmond Police Exploring. Law Enforcement Exploring is a national co-ed career education program for youth in 9th grade -20 years old. Mentor with Redmond Police Officers and participate in activities with other youth interested in a career in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement. Meetings are 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month: 7pm, Redmond Police: 8701 160th Ave NE. For additional Information, contact Redmond Police Officer Kevin Kaptur at 425-556-2500.

COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING EXPO will be after school on Wednesday, June 11th from 12:15 - 2:30 in the Aux Gym. All students, parents, and teachers are invited to see projects created by students such as speakers, self-driving and mind-controlled cars, airships, handwriting machines, and much more.

BE A MUSTANG MENTOR!!   Are you going to be a Junior or Senior next year and love RHS? If so, you should become a Mustang Mentor! You will be welcoming freshmen and new students to Redmond throughout the year with a big smile and open arms. Applications are available in the main office or in Mrs. Gilday's classroom, C106. Forms due by June 14th at 2:30 pm in C106.

THE COLLEGE & CAREER CENTER JOB BOARD  The College & Career Center Job Board on PSL is on FIRE!!!!  Many new positions available for summer employment!!  Just go to your PSL page - you will find us under the "extras" tab.

STUDENTS:  Will you be participating in a summer activity or looking for an internship or job next year?  Students can get a FREE fully loaded transit fare card (ORCA card) to get around all summer for FREE!  This means the card and the rides are both FREE!  Only students who qualify for free and reduced lunch and are looking for a job, internship or other extracurricular project for summer of 2018 are eligible for the program.  Stop in the College and Career Center to pick up a flyer!

BATTERY CHARGING STATION . Is your battery running low?  Have no fear!  Plug in at the new charging station in the College & Career Center (Room E111). No more need to sit on the floor in the hallway! Our new device charging station is equipped with both plugs and USB ports - Stop in and take a look!
