Kent School District May 17, 2019
Promises Made Promises Kept. Your tax dollars at work.
As summer approaches, our Capital Planning team is hard at work on bond and levy projects.

We are investing in our community’s assets – our students and schools.
2016 Capital Improvement & School Construction Bond Progress
In 2016, our community voted for a $252 million bond to reduce overcrowding, improve safety, and increase energy efficiency in our buildings. The bond also financed the costs of two news schools and renovations to current facilities not covered by state and federal funding.

We are keeping our promises and have completed eleven of the 120 proposed projects, including the new Covington Elementary school, building multipurpose rooms at elementary schools, and improving the safety of all of our schools.
