May 2019 ---
From the Rector
Hello everyone!

I’m beginning to feel human again. Monday I will be three weeks out from my surgery. It feels so good to be able to walk again! I’m not quite 100% in terms of my energy level, but I am feeling better every day, and expect to be back full-time in early June.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers, compassion—and for your cards and food (such yummy food—everything from rice pudding to chicken soup to cornbread to Mexican casserole and in between). Thank you for the time to take care of myself and to rest and get better.

I also owe a great debt of thanks to Trinity's staff: Deacon Liz, Millard, Cliff, Jerry, and all others who stepped in to cover for me while I was out. I so appreciate everything you did, and your compassionate service to me and to Christ's Church.

I cannot wait to get back to my job fulltime. I love being at Trinity, being your priest, and working with you to move into God’s future for us. We are going to have a great summer. Here are some events that are on the docket:

A number of baptisms will take place over the course of June and July! This is good news, as we welcome folks into a relationship with God and God’s church.

Theology on Tap—meeting on a weeknight once a month at a local pub for great conversation about faith, theology, and life in general.

Newcomers Class—Also known in some places as Inquirer’s Class, this is planned to take place between Sunday services for any new folks who want to learn more about the Episcopal Church, and Trinity Church in particular. I anticipate beginning this class in June. Details will follow soon.

Finally, I want to encourage everyone to come out for Aram’s concert this Sunday. I plan to be there, and hope to see all of you there as well. What a great event, and how lucky we are to have such a tremendous talent in Aram, who serves Trinity with great skill and great compassion.

Blessings,
Pam+

Trinity Episcopal Church

The Return of UTO!

Every Episcopal Church should participate in United Thank Offering! It is an offering that supports innovative mission and ministry throughout the Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion.

Beginning this Sunday, May 19, until Trinity Sunday, June 16 to focus on UTO. Everyone will have the opportunity to have a UTO "hope chest" to stash various types of cash and coin during the weeks prior to the Trinity Sunday Ingathering. Then bring your UTO box to church that Sunday for a time of recognition and blessing.

UTO offering boxes available now.
Trinity is looking for Facebook writers—right here in our own church!

We want to increase our Facebook impact and outreach of the church.

Trinity is looking for Facebook writers—right here in our own church!

We want to have postings on Facebook that tell stories about our parish: Quick anecdotes about various ministries; human interest stories about our members and their work in the world.

Email Pam at pam@trinitybeth.org if you would like to participate in this important ministry.

C'mon! You know you want to!

For the sake of better communication . . .

We have created a new email account for reporting Trinity events you'd like to see publicized either through our newsletter, or other weekly email blasts. The address is: communications@trinitybeth.org. You may also add folks to the prayer list.
