Tuesday, May 15 at 10am. Mark it on your calendar because that's when registrations open up for our June summer events that require registration, like arts workshops, escape rooms, and coding camps for elementary and tweens/teens! (Most preschool events don't require registration.)

Excitement is popping up at the Prior Lake Library while we get ready for our new children's mural! Join us for these
special events as artist Greg Preslicka of The Big Picture creates a colorful mural inspired by every child's love of reading and the magic of possibility.
Mural layout and painting: May 7 - 11, during library open hours Mural Celebration Storytime: Thursday, May 10 at 10:30 am Mural Community Celebration (all ages): Saturday, May 12 at 11:00 am Mural Celebration Pajama Storytime: Tuesday, June 5 at 6:30 pm
Signups start May 15
Many summer library events do not require registration, but we do have limited space for events for elementary & tweens/teens like mini-camps, escape rooms, arts workshops, and book clubs.

Readmobile Visits Continue!
The Readmobile delivers learning, literacy, and fun with even more site visits in April. Check the Readmobile page for more information and the schedule of visits.
The Readmobile vehicle and start-up collection were funded by the Diane J. Sachs Trust and a grant from the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community.
First Step STEM Events for Preschoolers Continue through May and into summer
Engage
your child's natural curiosity at the library with exciting pop-in events featuring preschool-friendly Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math activities!
First Step STEM events are funded in part with a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education using federal funding, CFDA 45.310 - Library Services and Technology Act, Grants to States Program (LS-00-17-0024-17).

Volunteer at the Library this summer!
Some libraries are still looking for volunteers - if you are 12 years old or older, you are eligible to volunteer at the library this summer, helping out at events and staffing the registration desk.
Free Corsage and Boutonniere Class at Belle Plaine Fri 5/4 (high school only)
Design your own wrist corsage and boutonniere just in time for prom! An experienced florist will walk you through the basic steps and help you create a beautiful corsage and boutonniere unique to your style. By the end of the class each person will leave with a matching boutonniere and corsage.
