Dear Alumnus,
We recently had the opportunity to host the Concordia College class of 1968 50th reunion during commencement weekend. In the fifty years since they graduated, the size of our classes has changed tremendously, but our mission has not wavered. Yes, we have added numerous degrees--more than pre-seminary and church worker--but our mission has stayed the same. As I talk and connect with alumni, students, and faculty, I see God's hand is and has been guiding all that we do at Concordia University Wisconsin, from 1881 until now. We may be in different locations and offer more degrees, but the mission has stayed the same. Now more than ever, we must continue to educate and develop current and future leaders in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world.

Alumnus Selected as New Dean of SOE
|
All Current Hall of Fame Inductees are Invited to Celebrate & Welcome the Newest Inductees
July 14
The afternoon of July 14 will be a time for all our CUW Athletic Hall of Fame inductees to celebrate and welcome our newest inductees: Stephanie Boehm ('10 volleyball);
Samantha Gries ('11 cross county/track field); Muriel McIntyre ('12 golf); Mark Kretzmann ('64 basketball);
and Tom Weber (tennis coach). The celebration begins with a reception at 3:30 pm at the Highland House in Mequon, followed by the induction ceremony at 4:45 pm at the Concordia Center for Environmental Stewardship on campus. The night will be capped off by a Chinooks baseball game at 6:30 pm at Kapco Park for all alumni and CUW Athletic Hall of Fame inductees. Click here to register.

June 29, enter free from noon to 3 pm
It's Show Your College Pride Day at Summerfest on June 29.
All patrons arriving between noon to 3 pm wearing a shirt or hat representing CUW will receive 1 free weekday admissions ticket, valid for the day and time of the promotion only. So, if you have worn out your Concordia gear, now is a good time to get something new from our bookstore. Alumni receive a 10 percent discount online or in person at the bookstore. Concordia Nears Accreditation Approval
for New Doctorate Program

Caught on Campus: Philanthropy in Action 
Construction is underway for the future Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center, housing the Batterman School of Business and the Community Language and Literacy Center. We anticipate the project to be completed in time for the fall semester in 2019. Click

for a Weekend of Fun
August 3-4
Whoomp! There it is! Have you registered yet for the big event? The 1990s decade reunion is coming up fast and promises to be a "boombastic" weekend to remember. No diggity, no doubt. So, mark your calendar for August 3 and 4 and plan for a variety of activities, including
a Chinooks game with food and drink, worship on the bluff, a campus tour, and picnic. Classmate Wendysue (Yeomans) Fluegge will begin the Chinooks game by singing the national anthem with other opportunities for classmates to participate in the fun. Your classmates, Nate Cox, Jenny (Corey) Clemens, Tim Seban, Jen Stough, Tracy Reasoner, and Craig Toerpe have been busy planning your reunion. 299 Years' Worth of Experience Retires
from Concordia
While several hundred Concordians are newly entering the mission field following their recent graduation, more than a dozen individuals with centuries of professional experience among them are leaving their vocations as faculty and staff at CUW.
Seven professors and six staff members who each have served at Concordia for a decade or more have retired or will retire by July 2018. It's one of the largest batches of long-standing employee retirements Concordia has seen in recent years. Read more here.

The Concordia University Players will present "Long Day's Journey into Night," a Tony Award-winning play by Eugene O'Neill, in the university's Todd Wehr Auditorium on campus June 29 to July 1. The play
