Student Council invites you to the annual SJ Luau on Friday, May 24 at 5pm! Tickets are just $8 in advance

Student Spotlight: Cadets Organize Charity Walk!
SJ Freshman, Mallory Doyle and Grace DeDonato have organized a charity walk in honor of their kindergarten teacher, Marie Adams, who passed away from cancer. Mrs Adams taught in Stratford, Shelton, Monroe, and Derby schools.

We hope you'll support the inaugural launch of "Miles for Marie," on Sunday, June 9, at the Shelton Riverwalk. As a life-long educator, Marie is most remembered for her kindness, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile.

Proceeds will be donated in Marie’s honor to The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp which was founded in 1988 by Paul Newman. In addition, a scholarship will be created allowing Marie’s memory to forever live on. For more information, click here.
Congratulations to our Academic Award Recipients!
On Wednesday, May 15, St Joseph High School honored more than 150 students during the annual Academic Awards Dinner!

Many thanks to the faculty and staff that put together the program as well as guest speaker, Dr Matthew Cellini ’05, Major, US Air Force!   View photos on our SmugMug page.
Spread the Word: SJ to Host an Admissions
Information Session on May 23!
As many of our current SJ Families know, the high school search and admission process can be difficult (and a bit scary!) to navigate; but our Admissions team is eager to help!

We hope you'll help us spread the word to Future Cadets about our upcoming Admissions Info Session! Parents can learn more about the process, ask questions, take a tour, and meet our student ambassadors.

This event is open to all prospective parents and will help them get a jump start on the fall admissions process! To register, visit sjcadets.org/visit !
Senior Cadets:
Pass on the Polo!
SJ Parents: Virtually Join Us for Last Bell!
Seniors, donate your gently used uniforms to our incoming Class of 2023! We will be collecting polos, skirts, and other SJ uniform items in the lobby before school on Wednesday, May 22. Any senior that donates uniform items can have a full dress down (college shirt and dress down bottom). Underclassman are welcome to donate as well!
We can't believe the moment has come, but this week, our Seniors will listen to their Last Bell at St Joes!

On Wednesday, May 22 at 1:58pm, join us Live on the SJ Alumni Facebook page ( click here ) to watch the Seniors count down to this bittersweet moment! We hope you'll join us!
Librarian Recommended! There's Something About Sweetie by Sandhya Menon.
Ashish Patel is the handsome star basketball player who could get any girl he wants, but all of that changes when his girlfriend, Celia, dumps him. Though it's not his usual style, he decides to ask for his parents' help and to arrange a suitable date for him. Sweetie Nair is intelligent, beautiful, and an amazing athlete who happens to be fat. She is filled with confidence but is constantly knocked down by her mother who believes that Sweetie can't be happy until she is thin. When Ashish's mother decides that Sweetie is the right girl for him and Sweetie's mother declines the arrangement, Sweetie goes against her mother's wishes and dates Ashish. They both have their reasons for dating each other, but neither expects it to end in love. Will they be surprised?
