On Monday February 17, 2020, Brothers of Phi Phi joined together with Delegates Bro. C. E. "Cliff" Hayes, Jr. (D-77th District), Bro. Luke Torian (85 Psi Nu), Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, Bro. Robert Fairchild, Chairman Political Action and other Ques from across the 3rd District at the Virginia State Capitol for Legislative Lobby Day. The issues centered on Guns, Equal Rights Amendment, Criminal Justice Reform, Minimum Wage and Casinos.

The legislative day began with Delegates Bro. C. E Cliff Hayes, Jr. (Spr 87 Pi Gamma) and Bro. Luke Torian (85 Psi Nu) giving an overview of the day and outlining their legislative agenda.

The days activities were culminated by walking over to the House and Senate Galleries to watch sessions and receiving recognition on the House and Senate Floor. Delegate Lamont Bagby (D-74th District) praised the Third District of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., and commended them on striving to achieve the greatest possible positive impact in the communities where its chapters reside, an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's service, brotherhood, and proud tradition of serving the community.

ΦΦ Present at 3rd District Winter Council Meeting

The Brothers of Phi Phi Chapter displayed great attendance at the 3rd District Winter Council Meeting. The Third District Winter Council meeting was held on Saturday, February 8, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, at the Colonial Heights Middle School, 500 Conduit Road, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. Delta Omega Chapter provided hospitality on Friday evening at the Comfort Suites Southpark, 931 South Avenue, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.

Young Leaders Empowerment Explosion 2020
The Chesterfield Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Thea Sorority in collaboration with P and G Foundation held its annual Young Leaders Empowerment Explosion on Saturday February 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook High 491 Cogbill Road Bensley, Va. The event held panel discussions, educational breakout sessions and vendors.

divided by a partition. The porch was later enclosed for a bedroom for her brother. The Robinsons were the only ones in their block who were not homeowners.

The Richmond Chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will host our annual Talent Hunt Program on Sunday March 8, 2020. The program will take place at the 31st Street Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. The Richmond area chapters include Phi Phi, Zeta, Upsilon Nu and Phi Delta. The Talent Hunt program provides Richmond area high school students an opportunity to develop, express and receive recognition for their talent.

The Omega Memorial Service for Brother Anthony Rogers was held on Sunday February 2, 2020 at Mimms Funeral Home located 1827 Hull Street, Richmond, Virginia. The funeral service took place on Monday February 3, 2020 at First Baptist Church of South Richmond, 1501 Decatur Street, Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia.

Bro. Anthony Rogers was born on April 2, 1927, in Richmond, Virginia, the second eldest of five children to the late Ruth Brooks Rogers and Percy Thomas Rogers Sr. He departed this life on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at the age of 92. Bro. Rogers matriculated through the Richmond Public School system and graduated from Maggie L. Walker High School in 1946. He was unable to participate in his high school graduation exercises, as he was drafted into the U.S. Army and in Basic Training during senior culminating activities. After serving in Japan at the end of World War II, he returned to Richmond briefly, before enrolling at West Virginia State College (now University). There, he earned a bachelor's degree in 1952.
