Dear St. George Families,
Christians come in three models; rafts, sailboats, and tugboats. First, there are the rafts. Basically, they are Christians in name only. They follow Jesus but someone else pulls or pushes them. Second, there are the sailboats. They follow Jesus, but only in sunny weather. When stormy weather comes, they go in the direction of the wind and the waves. In other words, they follow the crowd more than they follow Jesus. Finally, there are the tugboats. They follow Jesus regardless of the weather. They go in his direction not only when the wind and waves serve them but also when the wind and waves oppose them. Tugboats don't always travel as fast as they should but they always travel straight.

JOHN EDWARDS
MOTHER SETON AWARD RECIPIENT
Congratulations to John Edwards who is this year's recipient of the Elizabeth Seton Award. This award honors an individual who continues to give extraordinary volunteer service to our school community. John is married to Julie Edwards. They have three children: Maggie, Sophia, and Ellie. Maggie recently graduated from St. George and is presently a student at St. Joseph's Academy. Sophia and Ellie are middle school students at St. George.

At the luncheon honoring the Elizabeth Seton Award winners, St. George School student Molly Kate Skupien was recognized as the 5th Grade Student of the Year for the Diocese of Baton Rouge.

May Cafeteria Reminders
May Lunch prices by grade:
Pk - $24.00
K- $27.00
1 st - 5 th - $51.00
6 th -7 th - $39.00
8 th - $15.00
- Beginning May 1 any student with less than this amount in their cafeteria account will not be allowed to purchase extra items or seconds. Please pay in advance.
- The last day to pay with check will be May 6. You may send cash or pay online at www.myschoolbucks.com at any time.
- All overpayments will remain in returning students' accounts for next school year.
- Cafeteria charges must be paid before the end of the school year. Unpaid charges will not carry over.
- Refunds are available for 8th graders and any student who will not return to a Diocesan school next school year. Find REFUND FORM here. Please return the form to the cafeteria by May 17.
- You may also transfer any funds remaining in your 8th graders account to a younger sibling. You
- must submit a written request for transfer before May 23. Email request is acceptable.
Please note that according to the LA. School Food Service Policy Guidance Manual, outside restaurant food, soft drinks, and candy are not allowed in the school cafeteria. Your compliance is appreciated.
