Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) Hearing Screening Refresher and Q & A Opportunity:
Coffee-Break Mini Webinar

Presented by staff from the Early Childhood Hearing Outreach
(ECHO) Initiative, Utah State University

Thursday, August 16, 2018
2:00-3:00* p.m. EDT
(*15 min, plus 45 min for questions if desired)

As you prepare for another year of OAE screening, or if you have recently completed training and have questions, take this opportunity to review the main elements of implementing evidence-based OAE screening and get your questions answered. This Coffee-Break mini-webinar will review:

  • The checklist of what you need to have ready to go before you start your screening this year
  • Screening steps
  • Screening and follow-up protocols
  • Online resources including documentation forms, referral letters, tracking tool, and general information about OAE screening to share with others
  • Updates on new ECHO Initiative resources to support your screening activities

It will further provide an opportunity to get input from the ECHO Team on these and related topics. Presenters will limit the structured presentation to 15 minutes and will then remain online to address participant questions.

Who Should Attend?

This Coffee-Break Webinar is for individuals who have prior experience implementing OAE screening and would benefit from a refresher in preparing for another round of screening; or have recently completed OAE training and will be implementing screening for the first time.
