Shorashim Weekly Updates and Reminders

Todah rabbah  to all our families for the year-end appreciation luncheon last Sunday afternoon. Thank you to the PTO for planning and hosting this delicious and thoughtful lunch in honor of Shorashim educators, madrikhim and staff. I know I speak on behalf of all the educators when I tell you that we appreciate all you do to support Shorashim and your children.

Wednesday, May 8th and Thursday, May 9th
Special Yom HaAtzmaut learning and celebration during Shorashim. Happy 71th birthday to the State of Israel!

Sunday, May 12
9:45-10:30am
'Special Siddur Ceremony' during Community Tefillah for those children who came to Shorashim after Kitah Bet and are now receiving a siddur from us.
Families of those learners and any other Shorashim family who would like to come, are invited to join us for Community Tefillah from 9:45-10:30am in RH 3  which will be followed by a dessert reception for all learners in grades 3-6 in honor of those children. Families will participate in tefillah by giving their children their own siddur.  

Sunday, May 19
11:00-11:30am
Last Sunday of Shorashim.
Last Day for Grades K and 1.
Parents of learners in Grades K and 1 are invited for 'Moving Up Ceremony' during K and 1 during K and 1 Community tefillah from 10:45-11:30 in RH 3.

Wednesday, May 22
Last day of Shorashim for all learners regardless of usual weekday. All learners in Grades 2-6 are invited today for last day and year-end slide show from 5:15-6:00pm. Thursday learners will have a chance to see the slideshow on the last Thursday of Shorashim, so no one will miss it!

Year-end progress reports will be 'snail-mailed' to you in early June.
