December 16 & 17, 2020 VDOT Intermediate Work Zone Class 

This is an online class.  You are required to have a camera on your computer during this class.  Please call HRUHCA at 757-484-7500 to make arrangement to pick up a manual prior to class or if you are located outside of the Hampton Roads area, we will mail the manual to you.

 The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has established a mandatory Work Zone Traffic Safety Training Program (referred to by VDOT as the Work Zone Traffic Control Training Program or WZTCTP) based on Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) regulations.

 The VDOT Intermediate Work Zone Certification Class is a two-day training course designed for construction supervisors (foremen, superintendents, and private engineers or hired consultants) responsible for on-site inspection and placement of traffic control  devices around state highways.

 The course includes: 1) A copy of the VDOT "Virginia Work Area Protection Manual", 2) A cerficate of completion that serves as a temporary credential, and 3) The official VDOT Certification Card that is mailed to the participant from HRUHCA after the association receives it from VDOT).
