Greetings!

Happy New Year!

The start of the year has brought with it both great expectations and reflection from our past year. This month, keep up with the latest around Bethlehem Bible College and Palestine by viewing our "2017: Year in Review!" We are thankful from where we have come from, and where we are headed.

You'll also want to check out what our women's ministry, "A Pot in His Hand," planned for their special event to reign in the new year. The Holy Land Tales piece this month centers on Epiphany and the personal accounts of this celebration in Palestine.

Our second semester is off to a fresh start, and you'll want to read about one of our newest faculty members and his involvement in our Online Biblical Studies Program. Additionally, you'll find an article that I wrote in response to Trump's recent declaration over Jerusalem. I hope that you are challenged and equally encouraged to walk in the way of Jesus in these trying times.

Blessings to you in this new year!
Rev. Dr. Jack Sara
President
Bethlehem Bible College
I am a son of Jerusalem. In my city, there are around 300,000 Palestinians whose ancestors were born here and remained in Jerusalem through its long and difficult history. As someone who grew up in the Christian Quarter of the Old City and has called Jerusalem home for my entire life, I care very much about my city and its residents—both Arabs and Jews.

“A Pot in His Hand,” the Women’s Ministry of Bethlehem Bible College, welcomed the New Year in a special event with a large group of women from Bethlehem area and Jerusalem.

Bethlehem Bible College has been growing larger and larger over the past few years reaching out to more people than ever. Our witnessing of the Lord from Bethlehem to the ends of the earth, especially with our new E-learning program, allows any student to study the Word of God from their home wherever he or she is.

As is to be expected, Christmas is a big affair in Bethlehem. As the Christmas season passed for many Western Christians with the passing of December, the celebrations in Palestine have continued! With the varying denominations present in Palestine and the broader region in general, January marks the celebration of Epiphany. Traditionally occurring on January 6th for Catholics, Epiphany is celebrated by the Orthodox on January 19th.

  • Pray for start of spring semester for students, staff and faculty.
  • Pray for our ongoing situation in Palestine due to Trump's Jerusalem declaration.
  • Pray for refugees in Jordan living in harsh winter conditions.
  • Commit 2018 to the Lord! Move forward in steadfast faith!
