A MESSAGE FROM MRS. STALLMANN
Dear St. Alphonsus Families,

The teachers and I decided the week after Easter break would be a great time to have a Kindness Week. So we kicked off our Monday morning with an assembly first thing and a prayer/blessing for the students to continue to be kind in words, actions, and deeds. Each day there has been activities in the classrooms for Kindness Week. Please ask your children about what fun activities they have done this week.

One change that we have been working on in the middle schools is to not allow a la carte items to be eaten after lunch up in the classrooms. Even on the 4 th floor we have issues with ants so we need to be extra careful with food items in the classrooms. If students purchase an item from a la carte and do not finish all of it, they may wrap it up in a napkin and put it in their backpack to take home for later but they may not finish eating or drinking it in the afternoon in the classrooms.

Enjoy your weekend,

Mrs. Stallmann

Friendship Without Borders News

Mr. Gerry and the mission team are traveling once again to the orphanage in Guatemala. We are leaving on May 17 th and returning on May 27 th . Once again, we are looking for your help. In the past, the school families have been very generous in donating needed items. This year we are hoping to get donations of new t-shirts, socks, and underwear for children from the age of 1 all the way up to the age of 17. The biggest group of children right now are around the ages of 9-11, but they could use items for all the ages.
The orphanage has also asked for donations of:
  • new backpacks
  • USB flash drives of 8GB or 16GB
  • girl’s hair ties, bows, combs and brushes

There will be a box outside of the school office during the weeks of April 29-May 3rd and May 6-10 th in which to deposit any donations.
Thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions, please call Mr. Gerry at 414-704-3670.
