Wow, it turns out that June is really busy! How does that always happen?? I will be attending The National Needle Arts trade show in Cleveland, mid-month, which is a lot of fun, but also a whole lot of decision-making, planning and networking. I'm alternately tired and excited, thinking about it. I usually try to go every other year, to hopefully keep on top of what is new and exciting, and to begin placing my fall orders. On June 4, I will have been in business for 30 years !!!!!! I can hardly believe that one. How fortunate I am that I love what I do. (I started when I was 30 years old, so you know what that means... yikes.) Then, on June 21-24 is the 8th annual I-91 Shop Hop! If you haven't "done" the shop hop before, maybe you should think about it this year. It really is a lot of fun. With featured patterns and kits, chances at some really nice prizes, and each shop all dolled up for the occasion, it's a great time to make the rounds. Once you learn how to place your beads and get going, it's a quick and simple knit. Ours is made in one skein of Berroco Medina, which is a lovely, gradient cotton blend. Something special coming this Fall!

This fall, Marji's Yarncrafts, of Granby, and Sew Inspired, of Simsbury will be offering a class based on the new book; Uniform . This book contains a pattern for a very customizable go-to cardigan sweater in two weights, and a lovely also-customizable sewn tunic that you can make again and again. We will be offering a 6-week class which will alternate between sewing and knitting, so that you can make your own "uniform"! The class will meet Tuesday evenings for SEWING September 11 & 25 and October 9 for KNITTING September 18 and October 2 & 16 The cost for the class will be $108 for both, or $60 for either knitting OR sewing, plus materials. Please let either of us know if you are interested, and we can tell you more about it!
