Summer Youth Development Programs, your Summer CAT observations period is between June 24 to August 2, 2019. In order for our CAT members to properly coordinate and schedule multiple site visits in a short period of time, we are asking that you please send a final version of your summer schedule(s) to your Contract Manager by May 24th, 2019. Please note, exact timing will need to be flexible within the specified date range (June 24 - August 2), based on your daily programming schedule. Resources for YD CAT observations

Social Emotional Program Quality Assessment Planning with Data
Trust-funded youth development (6-12) providers are urged to register for the upcoming SEL PQA Planning with Data workshop. This workshop will guide participants in the interpretation of their program self-assessment and CAT observation data, and focus on using this data to create actionable improvement plans and support effective continuous quality improvement. One representative from each provider agency
MUST be present at one of the sessions; however, we strongly encourage that a team consisting of a program manager and up to four direct staff attend the workshop together. Target Youth Soccer Grants *
The Target Youth Soccer grant cycle open May 1 – June 15.
Provides support for player registration fees, player and field equipment, and training and professional development for volunteer coaches. Any eligible school, government agency, non-profit organization or non-profit regional/local soccer organization within the U.S., serving youth 5 to 18 years old, can apply. A preference will be given to programs serving in-need communities. As part of the program, Target will provide annual $1,000 grants on behalf of each Target store and distribution center in the U.S. to federally tax-exempt section 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, accredited schools, or public agencies located in the U.S. or one of its protectorates that have soccer programs serving youth 5 to 18 years old. We accept grant applications between noon CDT May 1 and 11:59 p.m. CDT June 15. Grants will be awarded in October 2019.

Bachelor’s degree in Social Science (or related experience) required, with a demonstrated ability to relate effectively with people of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. A demonstrated ability to support and work effectively with young people whilst maintaining a safe environment is required.
