In and Around the Classrooms
The spring Fine Arts Night showed off the talent of Lake Pointe's young artists. Drama students present "Goldilocks on Trial" by Stuart L. Sheeley. Primary music students performed hymns on recorders and chimes, while the string students played a medley of television and movie themed songs. Lastly, art students displayed their many talents including perspective, paints, and photography in a gallery walk through.
Raptors on Campus
The Carolina Raptor Center came to campus Tuesday morning to share with the K-6th Science classes. Katie, who resented to Raptor Center, taught the children about the 5 types of raptors, 3 of which she brought with her to introduce to the students.
Capacity Unit
Bringing their math capacity unit to life, second graders read the book Thunder Cake by Patricia Polocco and bake a cake!
A Future in Science
LPA parent, Jodi Brewer, visited the seventh grade Science class to share with them what he does as an anesthesiologist assistant. He also answered questions about other careers in the medical field.
