A huge congratulations to the students who participated in Pirates! You put on a fantastic show!!
We would also like to thank everyone who helped with costumes, set, tickets, and show night, especially Laura Magee, Amber Nowak, Dan Neises, Mark Jansen, Bridget Dusing, Tom Bell, Frank Krone, Sharon Krone, Stacey Neises, Kay Luna and Maureen Riggs. On Saturday, May 11th at 2:00pm, Miss Dvorsky, vocalist, and Steve Steely, organist, will be giving a recital at St. Pius X. We hope you can join us for a beautiful afternoon of music. Reception to follow in McCarthy Hall.

Grandparent Day Updates and Reminders
Reminders:
** 5 Day PreK & Grades K-8 will celebrate Grandparent Day Friday, May 10th.

** 3 Day PreK Programs will celebrate Grandparent Day Thursday, May 9th.
All PreK Grandparents need to check their weekly PreK newsletter for activities.

** Park in the Church Parking Lot and Enter through the Gym doors. You may be dropped off at the Gym doors, too. Doors will open at 9:30am

** All K-8 Grandparents will Meet in one of their Grandchildren's classroom and join the rest of their grandchildren in the church for 10:00am. Please make arrangements beforehand so your grandchildren know where to meet you.

Lunch:
**All PreK children who stay with us all day will eat during the 1st Lunch Period no matter where their last name falls in the alphabet. Their older siblings will be allowed to eat during this lunch time as well.

Activities - All are Welcome!
**There will be classroom activities during student's Recess time.

A special thank you to the parents of our first grade students who volunteered to ride the bus and help in the locker rooms during swim lessons. Time has come full circle as many of our parents are former students! This is a trend that has been going on for years now and it is a wonderful thing to see. God bless! - Mrs. Kenyon

Directives for Field Day
 May 23, 2019

Starting Time – 8:00 AM : Student should be dropped off at the Augustana Thorson-Luken Field (located adjacent to the Pepsico Center) between 8:00 and 8:15 AM.

Schedule of Events : 8:15 - 8:40    Attendance, opening remarks and prayer
                                8:45 - 11:45  Event stations, 15 minutes each
                               11:30-11:45   Jr. High vs. Faculty and Parents Tug of War
                               11:45-12:00   Dismissal
                                 
Snacks will be provided. We ask that each student bring their own water container for drinking with their name on it.

Early Dismissal – 12:00 PM : Students are to be picked up at Thorson-Luken field parking lot nearest the main or east entrance. For safety of all students, please try to park your car and walk to pick up your child/children. Contact the teacher BEFORE you leave the facility so that all students may be accounted for.

After Care : There will be no after care available on this day. Other day care arrangements must be made.

In Case of Rain : We will use the indoor facility at Thorson-Luken Field. Students will be directed to classroom meeting sites and field event locations.

Attire : Please be sure to prepare for warm or cold weather conditions. Students should bring proper clothing and wear sunscreen.
