Our Sunday congregation welcomes you to beautiful worship and life-giving fellowship. Our motto is
“When in doubt, we choose love.”

Join us Sundays at 10 a.m.!
The Crossing is our grassroots, justice-focused, do-it-yourself church community of hipsters, heretics, homeless, and other unlikely pilgrims. Join us Thursdays, dinner at 6 p.m. & worship at 7 p.m.
MANNA (Many Angels Needed Now and Always) is a ministry of and with the homeless community in downtown Boston. We need each other. And this is why we gather each week to serve, to pray, and to create together. Join MANNA throughout the week for any number of our programs!
Our Episcopal Boston Chinese Ministry (EBCM) serves the Chinese-speaking community in Downtown Boston, hosting both traditional and contemporary worship services in Mandarin and Cantonese. We invite you to join us Sundays at 12:30pm.
“The small group is the unit of transformation.” Peter Block makes this claim in his great book “Community: The Structure is Belonging.” I thought of Block’s claim as I participated in FaithMatters last Sunday morning. We often spend time in small groups during FaithMatters —learning one another’s names, sharing stories, testing out hunches about where God is at work, and gently dipping our toes in the pond of vulnerability to share a fear or an amazement. It is such a holy time.

Last Sunday, I saw our field education student Anne Stetson beaming as she listened to someone share something in her small group. Field education for seminarians is a year of structured experiential learning. The goal is vocational growth, and, more often than not, by the end of a placement, there has been some transformation, not only for the student but for the congregation. This happens not so much through the big projects they accomplish but through the one-to-one and small group conversations, where their wisdom and fresh perspective graces and is graced by the wisdom and stories of those they meet.

As Anne Stetson’s time with us comes to a close, I am filled with thanksgiving for the way the Spirit has worked through her and in her. Anne expressed her thanks by making nautilus colored cupcakes for the staff (also delicious!). Join us this Sunday when we wish her Godspeed and bless her for her journey ahead.

Christ's peace to you,
Amy

What a blessing to have the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church at the cathedral on Saturday! The Most Rev. Thank you to the cathedral staff and all the volunteers who made this day so great!

NOT FREAKING OUT

Why worry about tomorrow, or what this day may bring?
When whatever has to come our way there’s still a song to sing.
Why go through life’s uncertain times filled with stress and fears and doubt?
My life has to move on forward, and I’m not freaking out.
Though storms of this life come and go, and put us to the test,
my example is the one who I know did it best.
He lived a life and shared his love, it cost him such a loss,
but him being who he is, for me he took a cross.
So I am really no one, so don’t seek for my clout;
he did what I never could, so I’m not freaking out .
