Genesis Groups - Connecting our Efforts Across the State

The CREC is connecting diverse groups of leaders, educators, and partners across the state to discover, share, leverage resources, and plan action around the following high priority areas.

Student Centered Accountability Program (S-CAP) - Expansion

The Student-Centered Accountability Program is expanding! On April 23rd, the Holyoke System Support Review (SSR) took place as the final review of the 2017-2018 school year with 45 attendees who were either Reviewers or Observers participating in and learning from the process. The group separated into the two teams focused on the two areas chosen for review by the district: Curriculum & Instruction and Learning Climate.

It's a good time for your district to consider joining the effort to make accountability meaningful and relevant to your stakeholders.

If you are interested in learning more and being part of the project, please join us at the  2017-2018 Stakeholder Update Reception

"Attending System Support Reviews can be a valuable professional development opportunity for teachers, board members and administrators. We have heard from administrators that it is the most helpful feedback they have ever received and from teachers that it has significantly reduced isolation and seeded ideas and relationships to solve problems of practice".
Lisa Yates, Superintendent Buena Vista School Distr ict

Teacher Leader and Efficacy- Principal Induction Program

Thanks to a grant from the James Walton Foundation, Generation Schools Network through its facilitation of the Colorado Rural Education Collaborative can assist your BOCES or district in submitting an updated Principal Induction Program that meets the stated CDE Requirements by June 15th.

The Colorado Department of Education is requiring that all State-approved induction programs for teachers, specialized service professionals (SSP), principals and administrators be evaluated and renewed every five years. Current programs were given the option to submit for program evaluation and renewal in 2017.

Teacher Recruitment and Retention - Teacher Openings on CREC Website

In an effort to connect students to the amazing communities and schools of rural Colorado, the CREC has created a job resource page.  The CREC has added a new section to our website titled "Openings".  If you are an administrator or superintendent, you can post your school's job openings here! Future teachers are also encouraged to look at these openings and fill out a form on this section to submit a resume.
