Home Missions Ministry Opportunity THIS Saturday!
On Saturday, April 21, members of the Home Missions Committee will be partnering with St. John's Chapel to serve lunch to residents of the East Side Community. Several more volunteers are needed to assist from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. If you are interested in helping this Saturday, please contact Frenchie Richards at
frichards7@aol.com
or 843-345-8797. Also, please contact Frenchie if you are interested in helping with this ministry in the future; the Home Missions Committee is currently considering a monthly partnership with St. John's Chapel for this outreach and missions ministry.
During the 10:30 a.m. service on April 15, seven members of our parish received their first Holy Communion: Bowen Barber, Annie Davis, Anne and Palmer Lancaster, Helen Livesay, and Cole and Daniel Strecker. These children and their families participated in our inaugural First Holy Communion Child-Family Workshop, led by Director of Ministry to Children and Families Amy Watson Smith, the Rev. Ryan Streett, and the Rev. Andrew O’Dell. May this occasion stir up in each of us a sincere gratitude to God for this great sign and pledge of His love as we share together in His risen life!

Tea Room Gift Shop!
The Tea Room Committee is hoping to make this year's gift shop the best one yet! Please drop your items off at the church office. Items like homemade jams or jellies, knitted or crocheted scarves and hats, and local cookbooks are always big sellers. Think you don't have anything to contribute? Take a look at the list below and think again!
• cookie mix in a Mason jar
• framed photos of St. Philip's
• prints of paintings of St. Philip's
• gift cards to local restaurants
• gift certificates to your own business
It's not too late to volunteer for this year's Tea Room! Volunteer forms are available in the church office, or you may sign up online by clicking the link below. We also need homemade desserts every day and donations for the gift shop!
Can't volunteer this year? You can still help out by visiting us for lunch one day (or two ... or five) next week, or by encouraging friends, family, and coworkers to dine with us! Gift certificates for any amount are available in the church office.
Whether you're donning a green apron or sitting at a table enjoying a lowcountry lunch and delicious dessert, we can't wait to see you next week in the Parish Hall!

Haiti Annual Feast Day Mission
June 20-25, 2018
This year, we will once again journey to be with our sister church, St. Jean Baptiste, for the annual feast day celebration of St. Jean Baptiste. It’s a blessing to be with our Haitian brothers and sisters for this joyous occasion, offering them encouragement through our mission of presence. This trip will mark our 24th year of ministry in partnership with our sister church. Is God perhaps calling you as an encourager?
For trip information and details, please call or email Gerry or Suzanne McCord.

GrandCamp 2018
June 18-22 at
Camp St. Christopher
GrandCamp is an amazing inter-generational adventure designed to transport grandparents and their grandkids (target ages 6-12) away from the daily distractions of life to a place where God can do something extraordinary in building a legacy of faith from one generation to another.

Alfred, Lord Tennyson, wrote these powerful words:
“More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.”
United by this truth, we invite you to join us in praying for the just and merciful resolution of the ongoing litigation between the Diocese of South Carolina and The Episcopal Church (TEC). We are asking for two volunteers each day, Monday-Saturday, to commit to spending time in prayer and fasting as they are able. Volunteers may pray wherever they are, or they may come to the prayer room at the Ministries Hall during the day. We will all join together in prayer as a church family on Sundays.
