Fr. Philip's home church, St. John's Barberi Anglican of Kenya, has a roof over its head, thanks, in part, to St. Augustine's.
But what about a place to sit during worship? When he visits, Fr. Philip says the parishioners bring chairs from home for him as an honored guest, but the rest of the congregation sit on makeshift plank/benches and rocks.
As a sister church, we want to raise funds to purchase pews for St. John's. The need is for 60 pews, with a cost of $100 a pew. Already, $1000 has been raised (10 pews). Fr. Philip is hopeful to have Victory Point Fellowship contribute funding, and St. John's will cover the cost of shipping.
Will you be a part of this mission during Easter? All contributors will be listed on a plaque that will be placed in the church.
Make your checks out to St. Augustine's and put St. John's Pews in the memo line.
God bless you as we share that
we are changed by God to make a difference for God.
