May 30, 2018

Dear ,

The 2017- 2018 school year is nearly over. This school year Sacred Heart had many celebrations and a few challenges. Some of the celebrations include:
  • A warm welcome sponsored by the PTO.
  • An Oktoberfest that was able to raise funds to keep in- parish tuition the same and assist with teacher salaries.
  • A successful Catholic Schools week that was kicked off by a wonderful Open House.
  • A Legacy Raffle Drawing and Corned Beef Dinner that united both Sacred Heart Parish and School.
  • An 8th grade graduation that saw a wonderful group of young men and women off to high school.

Some challenges include:
  • Finding the right teachers to teach our Kindergarten and Second grade.
  • Creating a culture that is academically challenging and one that instills Catholic values in all students
  • The normal grind of the school year

Finally, I would like to thank the following:
  • All those who volunteered to help make our various events and committees successful
  • The teachers who give up so much to teach at Sacred Heart
  • Mrs. Pennisi who is a tireless servant of God and works to make all feel welcomed at Sacred Heart.

Be safe, have a wonderful summer, and God Bless,
Mr. Yee

Student Planners

We are grateful to Dr. Kenneth Norwick of Norwick Orthodontics for donating 2017- 2018 Student Planners to SHS. The planners are tools that assist us in teaching  discipline and organization as key building blocks for academic success. In addition to calendar and assignment areas the books include the SHS Handbook and Technology Use Policies and will serve as useful references for both student and parents throughout the school year. Be sure to check out the coupon on the first page for a discount in orthodontics from Dr. Norwick and mention to Dr. Norwick that you are from Sacred Heart and you are eligible for a free consultation.
