Join the Buffalo Bill Museum for a picnic at the LeClaire levee pavilion (located on the south end of levee near the Museum) to learn about their newest addition that will house a replica interior of a 1920s one-room schoolhouse. The Museum will be FREE that afternoon to showcase the addition. Bob Schiffke, Museum Director, will give a presentation at 1pm at the picnic pavilion about the project and how the community may support the Museum in its efforts to educate guests about one room schoolhouses. The event and Museum is FREE. No food will be sold. Please feel free to bring a picnic and enjoy the afternoon with them. The pavilion will also host live music and a silent auction to benefit the project.

"Cocktail Cruise!" If you've been to the Cody Road Cocktail House, you know how exciting and somewhat overwhelming the giant wall of cocktail choices can be. They always have 20 different feature cocktails on the menu. It's a tough choice because they are all delicious! Once you've tried one and you love it, then it's hard to veer off from a home run and try another. They want to encourage you to take a tour of all the cocktails on the menu. Each of the 20 cocktails will be numbered on the "Cocktail Cruise" card. Order each cocktail and have your card stamped. Fill it up and get free stuff and discounts in their store. This year's Summer Reading theme is "Libraries Rock!"The first day of the music-themed Summer Reading Program will begin on June 1. This program is for all ages - yes, adults too! In addition to the reading challenge, join them for a number of fun activities and programs throughout the summer.
- Saturday, June 2, 11am: LeClaire Community Library - Buon Appetito! Italian Cuisine with Vanessa. Native Italian, Vanessa Jasper, will teach how to make Orecchiette Pasta with Pesto Sauce! No registration necessary, but class size is limited to 18. Adults only.
- Tuesday, June 5, 2pm: LeClaire Community Library - Blank Park Zoo. A Very Musical Habitat - Join a zoo educator as they explore the songs and sounds of different habitats and meet some of those animals. Sponsored by Riverview Dental Specialists.
