Construction Hiring Event
CareerSource CLM in coordination with Marion Technical College (MTC), is hosting a Construction hiring event for graduate completion of the first Construction Core class on April 25 th .

MTC anticipates 12 students will be graduating on April 25 th and will have learned the following skills:

Job Site Safety
Intro to Construction Math
Basic Tool Training
Intro to Material Handling
Intro to Construction Drawing IntoBasic Rigging
Basic Communication Skills

All students will be well prepared to sit for an NCCER Blue Card, which is an industry standard to ensure skills are obtained. In addition, these students are positioned to continue with training in the construction apprenticeship program with 6 months of credit toward an apprenticeship.

The Construction Hiring Event is opened to businesses in the construction field and any who may be interested in recruiting these graduates. The event will be held at MTC / Brewster Hall at 5:30 pm. For more information on attending the event, contact Noreen Salatino at (352) 873 -7939, ext. 1118.

Youth Job Fair – May 16 th
CareerSource CLM is partnering with Marion Public Schools to recruit students seeking employment. Students and young adults ages 16 to 24 will be attending an annual youth job fair. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 16 th from 2:30 to 6:00 pm . The first hour will highlight high school seniors from 2:30 to 3:30, with other students and young adults participating from 3:30 to 6:00. For more information, click here to view flier.
