UCCI & UCCSC - Sponsorship with a Purpose for 2019!
UCC Industries International Inc and UCC Steelwork Connections Inc (
www.ucci.ca
) are proudly continuing their sponsorship of LOSHRS events in 2019. For this season however, there is a twist. Rather than simply sponsoring the party aspect of the LOSHRS weekends, which is always fun, UCCI and UCCSC will be awarding up to SIX x $500.00 bursaries to younger, first time competitors in the LOSHRS program. These bursaries are focused on helping sailors meet the LOOR safety standards for themselves, their crew and/or their boat.
If you (Single Handed), or you and your crew(Double Handed), are competing in the 2019 LOSHRS Series for the 1st time and are 35 years old or younger as of June 1st, 2019, then you may qualify, and we want to hear from you!
Simply send us an email outlining your story: your sailing background, the boat you'll be racing on, and why you have chosen to sail in the 2019 LOSHRS, either as a solo sailor or a double handed team. Prior to the first LOSHRS event on Sunday June 2nd,UCCI/UCCSC will chose up to SIX recipients to receive a 'Rigging Shoppe' $500 gift certificate to be used to purchase safety gear.
Entries musts be received by end of day Sunday, May 26th to qualify for the 2019 bursaries. Submit your entry to
info@loor.ca.

Crew Bank - Need Crew or interested in Crewing?
If you are a sailor and interested in participating in one of the Lake Ontario Offshore Races, or a skipper who needs crew, use the Crew/Boats Boards on the Yacht Scoring Registration and Official Document page. This resource was in high demand during the 2018 season and crew was snapped up very early. There are already a few eager racers listed as available crew for the 2019 season. Check it out and ensure you don't miss the opportunity to participate in a LOOR event this year.
You'll find the link on the Registration page, right side of the page, called 'Crew/Boat Boards', or go to the
Crew Bank
page on the LOOR site.
