Annual Mushroom Hunt

The Ross County Sportsman & Wildlife Club presents their Annual Mushroom Hunt on Saturday, April 21st. During the event you can hunt on any public land or private land with written permission. Plaques will be awarded for the adult and children's divisions for the biggest mushroom and most mushrooms found. There will also be a scavenger hunt for kids. 

Archaeology Day 2018

Learn more about Ohio's prehistoric artifacts, rocks and fossils during the annual Archaeology Day on Saturday, April 21st. Featured will be more than 20 exhibits of locally and regionally found artifacts, rocks, geodes and more. New this year is a display of 2-D and 3-D scans of artifacts and a PowerPoint presentation titled "Ancient Stone Artifacts in South-Central Ohio". The event also features tours of the permanent prehistoric exhibits at the Heritage Center. 

Earth Gathering Festival

The Earth Gathering Festival takes place on Saturday, April 21st on the lawn of the Pump House Center for the Arts. This event was designed to entertain, educate and inspire the public about nature, creativity and sustainability through earth-friendly art. The festival features live musical entertainment, hand-made art, delicious food, and vendors.

A Night at the Sugar Shack

Enjoy an evening of music at the annual "Sugar Shack" on Saturday, April 21st. Bands performing this year include: The Sidewalk Foundation, The Wegians, The Apollos, and R&B Rhythm. Advance general admission tickets and table reservations are available. Food and beverages will be available at the show to purchase. All proceeds benefit Rock for Tots.

Spring Hike at Adena Mansion & Gardens

Gear up for spring on a guided woodland hike on Sunday, April 22nd. Join Joe Bost for a hike around the grounds and trails of Adena Mansion & Gardens. It is recommended that everyone dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Registration is required for this event by calling (740) 772-1500.
