LBMS Environmental Club Arbor Day Tree Give-a-way
In observance of Arbor Day, which in Ohio is the last Friday in April, the LBMS Environmental Club is giving away 100 White Pine tree saplings to any willing LBMS student and their family to plant in their yard. These saplings are free. Trees are the lungs of the earth and every leaf counts. The bare-root saplings (6 to 12 inches in height) will be delivered to school sometime mid to late April and will have to be planted within 5 days. Use this online registration form link to sign up to receive one free tree sapling.
Note to parents: We'll need you to complete the form, but with the help of your child using their Google login. At this time, we'll limit 1 tree per family, but should not enough people sign up, we'll allow more trees per family. When the trees arrive, they will be delivered to the student during their 8th period class. We will email parents as soon as the trees arrive. Note that should we run out of trees and you've already signed up, we apologize in advance, but that also means we were successful. We'll notify you via email or through your child if this occurs.

Hyland Hy-Tech Camps for Summer 2018!
We are excited to announce the return of Hy-Tech Camps for Summer 2018!
What are Hy-Tech Camps?
We believe it's important to expose students to different areas of computer science at a young age. Each Hy-Tech Camp covers a specific technology topic, providing students in-person guidance at every session. They are designed to introduce students to a wide range of technology topics in order to help them find out what they like to do, or even what they may not like to do.
The various *free* camps cover some basics of coding, software testing and other subject areas within the technology industry. Our hope is that these Hy-Tech Camps will help remove barriers that may have prevented students from exploring their areas of interest.
When are Hy-Tech Camps offered?
Hyland will be offering several Hy-Tech Camps this summer. Camps occur in the evening from 5-8PM at Hyland's headquarters in Westlake, OH. Once you complete registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. E-mail reminders with additional information will be sent a week before the camp.
Who is eligible to sign up for Hy-Tech Camps?
Students entering 7th through 12th grades in Fall 2018 are eligible to sign up. Some of these camps have been offered in past years and the content hasn't changed. If you have attended one in the past, please do not sign up for it again in order to allow new students a chance to participate.
How do I register?
Registration opened on Thursday, April 12. Registration for these camps is free for students and they fill up on a first come, first serve basis. For more information on the camps and how to register, visit our registration page.
