Announcing The New York City Tobacco Cessation Training & Technical Assistance Center!!!

The New York City Tobacco Cessation Treatment and Technical Assistance Center (NYC TCTTAC )  is an NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene initiative that establishes a free training and technical assistance center to address unacceptably high rates of tobacco use among the City's behavioral health population. TCTTAC is the result of a NYC DOHMH partnership with the  Center for Practice Innovations  (CPI) at Columbia Psychiatry and the New York State Psychiatric Institute, and Jill Williams, MD from Rutgers University's  Robert Wood Johnson Medical School  (RWJMS). TCTTAC is designed to address certain barriers to treatment by ensuring that providers have the necessary training and organizational support to use skills and knowledge about treatment of tobacco use disorder in their daily work.

Please check out the NYC TCTTAC website to learn more and to access useful tools and resources for treating tobacco use disorder: http://nyctcttac.org/
