Dear families,
We are officially in our summer schedule for Sundays! This means that there is no Sunday School, FaithSteps, or Children's Church. Children's Church will start back up on August 26 and Sunday School and FaithSteps will start back on September 9. We will continue to provide nursery for infants and toddlers through rising K4. Rising K5 - 6th graders are invited to join their families in either one of the 10:30 AM services. Remember that there is a children's sermon in the 10:30 AM chapel service on the second Sunday of each month.
Thank you to all who have signed up for Vacation Bible School. It is hard to believe VBS will be here in two weeks! I look forward to having your child with us on June 18 - 22 from 9:00 AM to 12 noon. You will receive a letter in the mail this week with details on which classroom your child will be in and what our service project will be for the week. Rising K4 - 3rd graders will receive a CD of the music for the week. The rising 4th - 6th graders will receive a letter about details of the outreach program. If you have any questions or concerns after you get your packet, please let me know.
I wish your family a wonderful and safe summer. Since many of us travel during the summer, I leave your family with this prayer:
O God, our heavenly Father, whose glory fills the whole creation, and whose presence we find wherever we go: Preserve those who travel; surround them with your loving care; protect them from every danger; and bring them in safety to their journey's end; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Decorating for Vacation Bible School: June 13, 5:30 - 7:30 PM, and June 15, 9:00 - 11:00 AM
Children's Ministries is in need of helpers 10 years old and up to help decorate the All Saints Center for Vacation Bible School. There will be snacks and drinks at both times. We will have a fun time decorating with tents, trees, and boats. Email me if you can help!
Rhythms of Grace: Worship Service for Families with Special Needs

Please join us for our monthly Rhythms of Grace service. This service is for children and adults with disabilities and their families. All are welcome to join us for a fun and interactive service.
Special VBS Supper To GO: Wednesday, June 20, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
On Wednesday, June 20, we will have a Vacation Bible School Special for busy parents! You can place an order for parmesan chicken and pasta primavera (with Tres Leches Boston Cream Cake for the adult order and brownies for the child order) for the family and pick up before or after VBS from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Pick up your order in the porte-cochère off of Washington Street or in the Parish House Kitchen. $14 per adult, $7 per child. Register online by Monday, June 18.
Summer Suppers to Go: Wednesdays, June 13 - June 27

Rice Bowl Collections: June 17- June 24
All parishioners are invited to join the children attending Vacation Bible School in their service project! This year, we are collecting money for Rice Bowls. The money we will collect will go to Blessing The Children, an orphanage home in the Santos area of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The money will pay for the food to feed the seventeen children in the home. Plastic bowls will be handed out on June 17 during the church and chapel services. You can give money here. Rice bowls will be collected on June 24 during the services.
Vacation Bible School Children Singing: Sunday, June 24, 10:30 AM Church Service
All children who attended VBS are invited to sing during the 10:30 AM church service. Please come to the church at 10:00 AM to practice.
Outreach Projects in the Local Greenville Community: Wednesday Afternoons, July 11, 18, 25
Rising 4th - 12th graders, please join us on Wednesday afternoons in July as we serve in our community at various organizations. On July 11, we will prepare a meal for the families at the Ronald McDonald House from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. More information coming regarding July 18 and 25. Please fill out the waiver.
Art Camp: July 30 - August 3, 9:30 AM - 12 noon, All Saints Center
We are so excited about our first Art Camp at Christ Church! Open to rising 2nd - 6th graders, children from YouthBASE, Sterling Community Center, and Christ Church will be attending. The camp will be led by parishioners and local artists. The children will participate in two classes each day with a snack and play break. The classes will focus on a variety of arts such as singing, painting, printmaking, drawing, and making 3D art pieces. Cost: $50. Register online by Friday, July 13. Questions?
