Annual File Update -
It's that time of Year Again!
Attention all Early Learning Center Families—paperwork for the Annual File Update will be in your child’s cubby on May 31. For our newer families, this is our annual paperwork update to ensure your child’s well being while here at the ELC. The packet will include:

·          Your Child’s Information: this information is what your child’s teacher has to contact you throughout the school year and in emergency situations. Please be sure phone numbers and emails are correct. This is also the time to review designated pick up contacts and to be sure we have correct names and numbers.  Update your child’s doctor and insurance information if necessary.

·          2018-2019 Enrollment Contract: please review, indicate payment options where appropriate and sign at the bottom.

·          Medical and Religious/Cultural Food Restrictions Form: please review, complete and sign at the bottom. If your child does not have a food allergy or any dietary restrictions, simply check the “no” boxes. This is also a good time to ensure any Action Plans from the doctor are up-to-date and accurately reflect current needs.

·          Child Income Eligibility Form: all families need to complete this form every year regardless of income. The Early Learning Center participates in the state’s Child and Adult Care Food Program and it requires that a form never be more than one year old. So, we ask you to complete a new one as part of the Annual File Update.  Please complete and sign at the bottom.

When you see this packet in your child’s cubby, please take the time to review and respond. It is important that we receive it back to the front desk by Monday, June 18. Thank you!

Preventing Ticks on Children and Pets
We have had several reports of parents finding ticks on their children in the evening. Please use caution and do a check of your child's body and hair each evening. Ticks are found everywhere outside and can be picked up as children take walks, spend time on the playground, ball fields and backyards. Here is a helpful link to learn more about ticks, Pest World for Kids, and another line about how to remove a tick properly, Kids Health from Nemours.

Please note that if we find a tick crawling on your child's skin or clothing we will remove it; however, if the tick has attached itself to your child we can not remove it per Office of Child Care Licensing regulations.
