REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR THE VERY BIG STORY
Welcome to Narnia! Aslan Is On the Move! Palmer's 2018 Vacation Bible School will be July 16-19 from 6 to 8 PM. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a fantasy story presented by C.S. Lewis "as an unconscious preparation of the imagination" to explore the deep power of faith and belief. As we enjoy the story, we relate personally to the despair of Lucy at not being believed; to the wretchedness of Edmund, who takes pleasure in bullying younger people; to the faith and commitment of the Beavers who never lose hope that Aslan will return Spring to Narnia; and to the White Witch, who strives to control all outcomes in Narnia. You can register now by clicking here.

PRIDE HOUSTON VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Join your fellow Palmeranians as Houston Pride 2018! This year, Palmer will both have a float in the parade and a table at the Festival, two great ways to share the good news of Jesus Christ and show our support for a community that has had a complicated relationship with Christianity. Whether you want to decorate the float, be in the parade, or spend time talking to passers-by at the Festival, we are looking for volunteers! So put June 23 on your calendar and join us! If you are interested in getting involved with the parade, contact Jenn Vaughan ([email protected]) and if you are interested in getting involved at the Festival, contact Roger Hutchison ([email protected]).

CALL FOR USHER VOLUNTEERS
The usher crews need volunteers for the 11 AM service. The assignments are scheduled on a rotating basis so you will always know which week you will be needed. Joining an ushering team will be a rewarding experience and you will be assimilated into the program with experienced volunteers who will show you the procedures as you go along. Ushering is a great way to get involved with the services and meet other Palmers. Please contact Kirk Waldron at [email protected] or 281-831-5980 if you're interested.

PLEASE SEND US YOUR NEWS FOR PALMER PUBLICATIONS
The deadline for all submissions to The Palmer Email Newsletter, Sunday Announcements, and website is every Friday at 5 PM. Publication requests will appear the following week.
