RED TIE BASH
WINE WEEK IS THIS WEEK!
You may be asking yourself: "what the heck is wine week?"
Answer: It's a fun and easy way to support the Auction team's procurement efforts with just a few easy steps:
  1. Grab a bottle of wine valued at $20 or above from your personal collection (or the store)
  2. Place the bottle in a paper or plastic bag. Please feel free to add a note in the bag with any tasting notes, or pairing recommendations.
  3. Bring the bottle with you to drop off on Tuesday, April 17th, Wednesday, April 18th, or Thursday, April 19th. As you drive through the car line, hand the bottle to one of our lovely volunteers, and then continue on, knowing that you have just helped us stock the wine pull.
If you would like to contribute a bottle of wine, and are not able to give it to one of our volunteers, we ask that you bring it to the school office. Please do not give the wine to your children to deliver. Thank you.

RED TIE BASH
This year's event is different from any of the past St. Philip Dinner Dance & Auctions. The event is casual and will take place under the stars. We will not have a tent or assigned seating. We will still have our silent auction and cocktail hour featuring a wide array of items to bid on, as well as over twelve buy-in parties that you can sign up for. This will be followed by our live auction and premiere of the ever-popular St. Philip the Apostle School auction video! This year's live auction includes several amazing items, including a trip to New York, the Kids Choice Vacation, a behind the scenes tour of Mt. Wilson, and a fully stocked wine refrigerator. We will also be raising our paddles to fund the Father Joe Moniz Educational Fund. After the live auction, you will be able to enjoy delicious food provided by: Gus' BBQ, Los Tacos, Mother Moo, Porta Via, and Teri & Yaki. Grab a seat at one of the tables or lounge areas scattered around the dance floor, engage in a friendly game of corn-hole or ping pong with friends, or hit the dance floor. The Bash will have something for everyone. There will be a hosted bar from 6:30pm - 9:30pm, and then a cash bar. Contact  [email protected] with any questions.

BUY-IN PARTIES
The Red Tie Bash team wanted to share the list of buy in parties & their dates now, so that you can start planning which ones you would like to attend.  Remember, Buy-Ins are only available for purchase at the actual event, so be sure to find the sign up sheets as soon as you arrive at the Bash.  A very special thank you to our hosts for offering to host such fun events! Check out the parties here:  BUY-IN PARTIES

RSVP TODAY
Be sure to buy your tickets to Red Tie Bash this week. To purchase tickets or sponsor the event online,  please go here: RED TIE BASH

FREE TUITION
When you buy your Red Tie Bash tickets, be sure to purchase a raffle ticket as well. Your purchase of a raffle ticket enters you into a drawing for a chance to earn free tuition for the 2018-19 school year for one student. Not only will you enjoy a year of not having to pay tuition, but you will also be excused from all service hours! It is a great package valued at over $9,000.

DONATE AN ITEM:
Our fabulous procurement team has been hard at work securing items to sell at this year's event, but they are still looking for more items. We would especially love... tickets! Concert tickets, sports tickets, plane tickets, etc. We would also love home items, jewelry, handbags, and access to unique events. Please contact us at:  [email protected] with any questions or to make a donation.

VOLUNTEER:
An event of this size takes a village to make it a success. All families on tuition plans A or C are required to work 2 auction hours, but we will gladly take more than two hours of help. The sign-up genius can be accessed via this link:  Sign-Up Genius
Hours worked the day of the event can count for this school year or the next school year. There are also opportunities to earn double hours.

Thank you in advance for your support of the Red Tie Bash. With our community's support, we can make this a night to remember!

ANNOUNCEMENTS AND EVENTS
SERVICE HOUR TIPS AND INFO
Period 2 ends 4/30/18.
Please finish up your hours now and get them entered. You have until 4/30/18 to complete all needed hours for the year. Please also check your acct now to make sure it is accurate.  If you have unapproved items, EMAIL THE APPROVER.

IMPORTANT:    If you work an event that goes all year (like traffic), please use an end date of 4/29/18.  Our system will not record it correctly if it goes past the end of April.

If you are working DDA hours for the new year, VERY IMPORTANT!    The first 2 hours you work will be logged for this year.  Hours over 2 hours can be counted for this year or next. If they are for the current year, you may log them as one entry (end date 4/30 or before).
IF YOU WANT HOURS FOR THE NEW YEAR:  You MUST create a separate entry for those hours.  Please enter a date of 5/1/18 under the category DDA 2018 hours for the 2018-19 school year.  This will allow the system to recognize hours for the new year (2018-19). If hours are not logged this way, they will not record for the new year.

Example: You work 10 hours.  You want 6 hours for this year and 4 for the new year.
Log:  6 hours under DDA with date 4/28/18.
Log:  4 hours under DDA 2018 for year 2018-19 with date 5/1/18.

Example:  You work 10 hours you want all hours for the current year.
Log:  10 hours under DDA with Date 4/28/18

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SERVICE HOUR APPROVALS:  It has come to our attention that service hour approvers have not been receiving notifications of volunteer submissions.  If you notice that something has not been approved, please email the person who is the approver on your submission.

As an APPROVER:  please go into your account and see if you have any pending submissions.

Log into the school site, click on SERVICE HOURS ADMIN and you will see what items are currently pending.

We are working on resolving this issue. Please bear with us until it is rectified.
