Good afternoon CCDS Families,
This is an exciting week at CCDS! Our amazing teachers Mrs. Greenfield, Mrs. Bower, and Ms. Goldmann have created a PBL Week for students to answer the questions:
How do we share happiness with each other?
How do we connect to each other in meaningful ways during this time of social distancing?
Look for activities to complete with art, music, and science as the focus. You'll get to see your student dig deep into those questions and use their creativity and original thoughts to complete a final product, all with the support of the specialist teachers along the way. Look for additional information within your students' Altitude cards each day.
Students will have morning meeting with their classroom teacher and engage with mostly asynchronous work from there, supported by videos and instructions in Altitude. Teachers will be using this time for the planning and preparations needed to shift to a hybrid approach.
In addition to the great project week, students will also get a chance to do Wonder Wednesday as well. It's always a CCDS favorite - be sure to share your photos with socialmedia@chicocountryday.org.
Thank you all for taking some time to read through the above re-opening plans as well as our re-opening addendum to the handbook. This addendum was in the full CCDS Handbook you received this summer, but it is worth taking a second look as we move into hybrid instruction.
Enjoy this PBL Week with your students! It's a great look into project design and engagement that we have at school with students.
In Gratitude,
Wendy, Claudia, Amie, and Margaret
