ABOUT JA EVENTS PROGRAMS
Toast the Official Start of Summer!

We Love Our Corporate Volunteer Teams!

With school coming to a close, May is always the busiest time at JA World Huizenga Center at the Lillian S. Wells Pavilion. More than 7,000 students have completed JA their classroom instruction and will visit JA World for a simulated, interactive experience to apply what they've learned in entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy. The Dave and Lorraine Thomas JA BizTown,, Falcone Family JA BizTown and Patten Family Foundation JA Finance Park are busy this month!

Junior Achievement of South Florida is fortunate to have tremendous partnerships with so many south Florida companies and groups whose employees serve as volunteers at JA World.

"It's so rewarding to see kids have 'AH-HA' moments when it comes to income, family and budgeting. JA's programs teach them that there are many responsibilities that come with being an adult and how important this is to understand." - David McConnell, JPMorgan Chase

We know JA Summer Camps are Great...
But don't take our word for it!

Meet Ethan Stein. Ethan attended JA BizTown Camp two summers ago, and we were thrilled to catch up with him this week in JA Finance Park, where he and fellow eighth graders learned the importance of budgeting and personal finances!

Here's what he had to say:

"Summer camp was so fun. I would definitely tell my friends to attend the camp. It's a good because it prepares you to work in the real world. I had a bunch of different jobs, but my favorite was being the Chief in the Broward Sheriff's Office. I can't wait to come back to JA BizTown Camp as a Leader in Training (LIT), so I can teach other students what I learned!"

Junior Achievement offers three camps - JA BizTown Camp, JA CEO Academy and JA Coding/Robotics Camp.
Thank you, Achievement Foundation!
