Tapping into Talent:  Early Bird Registration Closes Wed., 4/18

Attracting, retaining and developing talent is the top issue for Catawba County industries.  Hosted by the Catawba County EDC, Catawba County Chamber and Catawba Valley Community College, business leaders and human resources staff are invited to learn about talent recruitment and retention strategies that are "outside of the box".

The day will feature a morning keynote speaker, luncheon speaker and then a series of 6 total workshops - featuring success stories told by the companies/partners themselves.  Workshops will include:

  • Tapping into Transitioning Veterans
  • Best Practices: 50 Ideas in 50 Minutes
  • Diversifying your Talent Pipeline
  • Forgotten Pipelines of Talent

Hosted by the Economic Development Partnership of NC (EDPNC), this event is geared towards employers that want to learn about the wide array of state and federal support services that specifically assist to help existing companies:

  • reduce your waste stream
  • export to new global markets

Presenters and staff from more 10 different agencies will attend to briefly describe their relevant programs, but then to answer any questions you might have.
