Digest #230

In any ecosystem, a part of it may lay dormant or die, and then -- sometimes unexpectedly, to the delight of those who've been involved -- come back to life. When I selected "near-death" and "reemergence" for this week's subject line, I was thinking of one particular article in this week's digest. It turns out, it applies to two.

Are you looking for learning and networking opportunities? Early May is packed with special events, including these:
  • May 2: The Santa Cruz New Tech Meetup
  • May 3: MBEP's Regional Economic Summit
  • May 4: 82% Micro Business Summit.
  • May 5: Santa Cruz Mini Maker Faire
Get the details in our Events section below, and you can always find all  upcoming events on our website.

Now scroll down for the news you need to know.
