I heard a man's voice behind me say, "May I have your attention, please?". It sounded as if he was standing right behind me in the women's bathroom at the airport! "What is he doing in the women's bathroom?", I wondered to myself. "And what kind of attention does he want?" I was afraid to turn
and look! I noticed that the other women in the restroom were not concerned. Then his voice continued giving updates on the flights! I turned to find that the airport speaker was right behind me and there was not a man standing there! I had to laugh at myself for being so silly! I transitioned quickly from one situation of concern to another with understanding.
It seems everyone I speak to is in transition whether we like it or not! At present I am with my sister helping her in an unwanted transition since her husband's recent passing. Many have had changes in their families too as well as in jobs, health and relationships. There is a stirring of change and we need to know how to shift so we don't break.
The Lord shows us how to look at life in Ecclesiastes chapter three:
"To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven:
A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted,
A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build up,
A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together,
A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
A time to get and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to cast away,
A time to rend and a time to sew, a time to keep silence and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace." (Verses 1-8 AMP)
He continues in verses 11-14:
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men
's hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun, but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
I know that there is nothing better for them than to be glad and to get and do good as long as they live;
And also, that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor-it is the gift of God.
I know that whatever God does, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor anything taken from it. And God does it so that men will [reverently] fear Him [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is]."
"May I have your attention please?" the Lord says as He stands behind us making sure that we are not alone as we go through our time of transition. "You are not abandoned in this journey, for I have gone before you. You do not need to fear, for my Love covers you! You may not understand it all now but know that I will be with you throughout your travel. Everything is beautiful in its time and it will endure forever! Nothing is lost that I can't redeem!"
Let's listen to His voice and pay attention to His words of comfort and direction! It's a time of transition!
