Stakeholder Perspectives
“OLOS is an invaluable tool to support teachers' view of their own classroom practices at the level of each individual student. Not only can teachers see what opportunities are being offered by the instruction, they can also see what each student is doing with those opportunities. This allows for reflection and planning that better personalizes instruction for each student according to different needs and goals.”

Taffeta Wood ,
Former Elementary School Teacher and Current Ph.D. Student,
School of Education, University of California, Irvine
"I recently received my feedback from the visit in the fall and the information was very interesting. I am looking forward to getting feedback from the next two observations.”

Kristy Anderson ,
First Grade Teacher,
Nebraska City Public Schools
The Early Learning Network, funded by the Institute of Education Sciences , leverages its expertise, resources and geographic diversity to help close the achievement gap and maintain early learning success as children transition from preschool to third grade. Together, network researchers from universities and organizations across the U.S. are examining current policies and practices, identifying malleable factors associated with early learning and achievement and developing tools to assess early learning instruction, interactions and environments.
