An Award-Winning Author is Coming to Rockford Public Library on Saturday, May 18, 2019 as part of Thousand Hearts Crow River Serve Day

Author, chef and strong supporter of local farmers, Beth Dooley , will be at the Rockford Library to talk about her passion for Minnesota and the wonderful foods that are available in our state, throughout the year.
In her program, “Cooking My Way Back Home" Beth will talk about how being in the kitchen forges a direct connection with our food, our farmers and the land.
Covering the local food movement for over 30 years, this James Beard award-winning author who has written six cookbooks will share her journey through our Northern Heartland’s food scene with stories of the farmers, artisans, and producers who are redefining what it means to eat well.
Sweet Nature: A Cook’s Guide to Honey and Maple Syrup , co-authored by Mette Nielsen, is due out in May, 2019.
Beth writes for The Star Tribune and appears regularly on KARE 11 TV and Minnesota Public Radio . She teaches at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and lives in Minneapolis.

Beth will be at the Rockford Public Library on Saturday, May 18 from 11 a.m.-noon.
The event is FREE and open to the public.
