A Note From Pastor Linda
A
nd the one who was seated on the throne said, "See, I am making all things new." Revelation 21:5
Spring reminds us that God is all about new stuff- ALLELUIA!!! Of course, the weather is NOT cooperating this year... but Spring WILL come!!! And this S*** (SNOW!) will melt!!
As we move into the month of APRIL our Wednesday evening focus will be CARING for GOD'S CREATION: environment, animals and one another! The Green Earth Team will be leading us on April 18- helping us reduce, reuse and recycle more effectively and efficiently! This Wednesday we will view the DisneyNature film: Earth- view a trailer here:
One of the themes of the movie is LIFE CYCLES. Consider these LIFE CYCLE FACTS as you ready to join us on Wednesday for connect360:
* all living things have a life cycle, from the tiniest bacteria to the gigantic Blue whale
* a life cycle is a series of stages a living organism goes through from its birth to its death
* a life cycle includes birth, life as a youngster, adolescence, adulthood, mating, caring for offspring and death
* throughout this cycle, each individual's aim is to develop, grow and learn enough to survive, and pass on its genes to its young
* the life cycles of many animals are intricately linked with the planet's seasons
On Sunday we welcome Laura Wyatt, a LCM (Luther Campus Ministry) student leader at the U of M to be our preacher. Laura is a sophomore at the U of M Twin Cities- majoring in Agricultural Education. Her ultimate dream job would be to work for 4H- she loves kids and agricultural. What Laura loves about LCM is the community and "realness" of exploring her faith.
Ben Williams- an intern from Luther Seminary serving with LCM will also be our guest. Learn more below and come ready to hear the GOOD NEWS!!

LCM Sunday
Sunday, April 8
Lutheran Campus Ministry, Young Adulthood, and the Future of the Church
Study after study reveals that less young people are attending church, and of those that do attend, they attend less regularly. What these studies fail to account for is the deep faithfulness of the students who are actively engaged with a faith community, the ways they are reaching out across borders and boundaries, the counter cultural nature of their practice, the ways they're integrating their experiences in labs and classrooms with their faith, and the ways they are, and will continue, to shape the church and world into the future.
Your Lutheran Campus Ministry at the University of Minnesota is privileged to walk alongside some of these young adults while they're in college, and we are looking forward to being present with you on April 8 for
LCM
Sunday!
A student will be preaching on that day, proclaiming the Gospel, and sharing stories about her life in college.

Blessing of the Car Keys: Leaping Into Independence
Wednesday, April 18
6:00 pm
Garden Chapel during worship
(Ages 15+)
The Blessing of the Keys is one more way the faith community is helping to instruct and lead our youth. This milestone is open to all youth who have received their permit or driver's license in the last year.
Everyone knows a whole new world opens up for families when a child receives their driver's license. New expectations, new privileges, new freedoms, and new worries all come into play. What better time to come together as a family to talk through the new expectations and privileges, as well as pray and ask for guidance.
Contact Pr. Jen if you are interested in participating in this blessing.
