Strengthening our commitment to equity and inclusion
Superintendent Clint Christopher opened up Monday night's board meeting with the following:
"Right now we have students in our schools who don't feel safe. I take that very personally. It's not acceptable. Every student's lived experience must be that they feel safe, that they are seen, and that they are heard and valued. Every student - our students - need to see a difference and feel a change in their daily lived experience. So do you. We can do better. We must."

Serve on Equity Advisory Council
Our district is looking to establish an Equity Advisory Council to provide direction and leadership as well as to serve as a lens to E. Carver Co. Schools to implement change. The council will help develop broad ownership of the work to become a more welcoming, culturally competent and equitable district. Board previews budget cut proposals
Based on current state funding and budget projections, the school district will need to cut $10 million from its operating budget and draw $5.6 million from its fund balance over the next four years to develop a balanced budget. This is on top of nearly $10 million in cuts during the past decade. At its April 22 meeting, the School Board previewed anticipated cuts that would be required without additional revenue over the next four years. Read more HERE.

Donations welcome to district's school meal
Angel Fund
E. Carver Co. Schools' Nutrition Services department maintains an
Angel Fund that is funded by donations. The
Angel Fund is used to assist families in our district that need assistance paying for meals for their children. Many families choose to donate the balance left in a student's account when they graduate or leave the district. Every bit helps! Learn more
