TWUCWB Supports #WomenOwned in Texas
Welcome to our new monthly e-newsletter! I hope that you find the content interesting, informative and inspiring.

Texas Woman’s University’s Center for Women in Business is the state’s only university center dedicated to facilitating women’s entrepreneurship and business ownership. The CWB provides the tools for woman-owned businesses to succeed including access to training, funding, networking events and mentoring opportunities.

To add to the mix of services we provide, we now have business advising services--available to any woman in Texas who wants to start or expand a business. If you need start-up assistance, help developing a business plan or compiling financials, make an appointment with our Small Business Advisor Tracy Irby here .

I am so pleased and excited that the CWB is now part of TWU's new Institute for Women's Leadership. More on that below!

Please feel free to email me with any questions or ideas you might have about our efforts to support the growth of women entrepreneurs in Texas! I'd love to hear from you.

Happy reading!

CWB is One of Three Centers Under the Institute for Women's Leadership
The Center for Women in Business is one of three centers now comprising the new Texas Woman’s University’s Institute for Women’s Leadership ! The other two centers are the Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy and the Center for Student Leadership .

The IWL is dedicated to preparing more women to take on successful leadership roles. Through the Institute’s three specialized centers, we ensure women have the framework needed to run for public office, the skills for building entrepreneurial businesses and establishing careers as successful C-Suite executives.

The IWL and its centers provide multiple platforms for women to advance their leadership skills and experience through support, education and training.

The IWL will be located on the first floor of TWU's Old Main Building and will include an interactive exhibit chronicling female political leaders in the Lone Star State and provide opportunities for students, citizens and visitors to pursue research and networking connections.
