Greetings!
While there is a lot of news to share this month, we feel the need to open by acknowledging the terrible devastation that Hurricane Harvey wreaked on the southwest. Our thoughts and prayers are with the citizens whose lives have been upended by the flooding and winds. We know that in the months to come, in cities and in rural towns, neighbors will help neighbors, just as we would help each other if it were to occur here.
Your Trustees
You are invited to a special event!
For over a year, your trustees and several residents have met, planned and worked hard; all with an eye to creating a space that our township residents can use and enjoy. It's far from done, but the beautiful Berkshire Township Learning Garden and part of the children's play area, as well as United Way's Born Learning Trail are ready for a preview on
Sunday afternoon, September 24th. Please see the article below for all the details. We cannot WAIT to see you.
Sincerely,
Rod Myers, Bill Holtry and Mike Dattilo, Township Trustees

2017-2018 UPDATED TRASH AND RECYCLE COLLECTION CALENDAR
With regards to trash and recycling cans, we encourage you to always collect the empty cans on Fridays as high winds may cause them to blow over into the road, creating a traffic hazard.
(It keeps our streets and neighborhoods looking nicer, too.)
Please contact REPUBLIC WASTE at 800-601-1867 or at the number on your invoice if you have any questions or issues with your service.
New to the township? Republic Waste is the single authorized trash hauler for Berkshire residents, so please call them to subscribe and be sure to tell them you are on the Berkshire Township contract.
